In past comments I have introduced the reality that, in part driven by finances and in part driven by the way the communication world is changing, that PSTJS would be moving to communicating and sustaining our business needs entirely on line. Having a new website crafted has been the first step in making that happen.

The time has now come to move the remainder of our interactions with you to a web based process, like so many other entities and business have done over the past few years.

So, starting with the Jazz Soundings for September, the monthly mailing of this printed-on-paper newsletter will cease and will be sent to each member via email. This of course requires that we have a valid email address on file. Fortunately there is a very easy way to accomplish that goal:

RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP ONLINE.

The sooner you renew, the easier it is for us to plan what’s next and to be able to meet our financial obligations.

Here is how you do it: Go to become a member then follow the prompts. See? it’s easy to do.

To keep this wonderful enterprise floating we need your financial support and we need new members. Please note that we have also increased our dues and day of event door fees to try and keep afloat. Membership fees are now $40 single and $70 for a couple, with a reduction to 35/60 for Seniors. And of course we are always thrilled with any extra contribution you are willing to include.

The Board is working hard to sustain the presentation of this wonderful music, America’s music, and we hope that you will continue to support it and the Board as we move ahead.

September 20th is our kickoff concert for the year, and a great band is engaged. You will hear more about that in the September Soundings.
