The Forty Drop Few is a string band originally from the southwest specializing in popular music of the early 1900s. Their main influences include New Orleans jazz, southwestern fiddle music, classic banjo rags, black string band music, hillbilly harmonies and unique vocals. The trio consists of Ethan Francis, Candra Edwards and Elliot Kennedy who currently reside in Portland, Oregon. The members spend all of their time picking apart old tunes, listening to 78s and performing around the country together.

Joining them for this special evening is acclaimed pianist Andrew Oliver, celebrated for his energetic and authentic interpretations of early jazz piano. Influenced by legendary musicians including Jelly Roll Morton, James P. Johnson, and Earl Hines, Oliver's dynamic playing captures the infectious rhythms and spirit that helped bring jazz to the forefront of American popular music.

This special evening is presented in collaboration with:
Puget Sound Traditional Jazz Society.
